Northeast Entrance Station

‘According to its listing as a National Historic Landmark in 1987, the entrance station “subconsciously reinforced the visitor’s sense of the western frontier and the wilderness he was about to enter. The building was not only the physical boundary, but the psychological boundary between the rest of the world and what was set aside as a permanently wild place.”’

Before beginning, remove all the Entrance Station pieces from your storage box.

You should have 12 pieces.

Step 1

First, slide the two Inner Side Walls onto one of the Front/Rear Walls, on either side of the five windows. Always make sure the engraved details are facing out. The pieces might feel loose for now.

Parts needed: Front/Rear Wall, Inner Side Walls (x2)

Step 2

Next, slide the remaining Front/Rear Wall into both empty slots of the side wall pieces. Everything might still feel loose at this point.

Step 3

Holding everything together, side the two Outer Side Walls up into place.

Step 4

Next, snap the two Middle Roof Sections into place over the middle of the building. Be sure to press firmly so they snap all the way in.

Step 5

Finally, snap the four Side Roof Sections into place. Be sure to orient them correctly as there is a left and right version. In order to get them aligned to snap in, you’ll have to force the edge of the front/rear walls out of the way before you can snap the roofs in place.
